The Rehabilitation Hospital at Palms of Pasadena is a 20-bed specialty-unit that is recognized by Medicare and commercial insurance providers as a setting for patients to receive intensive therapy services and physician services within a hospital environment.
 The Rehabilitation Hospital at Palms of Pasadena is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) - This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Palms of Pasadena Hospital’s commitment to excellence and conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving accreditation by CARF has been through a rigorous peer review process, and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, and are measurable and accountable.
Our team of highly trained clinicians provides specialized services to help our patients recover from serious illnesses and injuries such as a stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries and surgery, amputations and other debilitating conditions. Our goal is to help patients return to the highest level of mobility and independence possible.
We provide our services in a comfortable, medically-supervised setting with spectacular views and two therapy gyms. Along with physician and nurse coverage 24 hours a day, we offer the services of a highly trained team of healthcare professionals. Our unit is fully accredited by the Det Norske Veritas, Healthcare, Inc., DNV and offers these inpatient services:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Swallowing evaluation and retraining
- Cognitive (brain) function rehabilitation
- Clinical and neuro-psychological evaluation and treatment
- Nutritional counseling and consultation
- Prosthetics and orthotics
We also provide case management, discharge planning and a variety of other assistance to help patients re-enter the community, such as patient/family education, social services and referrals to community resources.
