The Bariatric Care Program at Palms of Pasadena Hospital is dedicated to offering you the latest advancements in the field of bariatric care and surgical weight loss. We are located in St. Petersburg, Florida, easily accessible from the entire Tampa Bay area and from the nearby communities of Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa and Sarasota. If you are significantly overweight, and looking for a real solution, we're here to help.

Morbid obesity can lead to a wide range of physical and emotional issues. Our program has been created to help individuals end their struggles with obesity and lead healthier lives. We offer two basic types of weight loss surgery - the adjustable Gastric Band procedure and Gastric Bypass Surgery, also known as Roux-en-Y or RNY. We offer both LAP-BAND® and the Realize Band™. Our team of Board-certified surgeons has performed hundreds of successful adjustable Gastric Bands and RNY surgeries, and Palms of Pasadena Hospital has been named a Center of Excellence for bariatric care by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.

Free Informative Seminars
You can now register online to attend a free informational seminar on Adjustable Gastric Banding or Gastric Bypass Surgery.

Support Group
We also have weight loss surgery support group meetings. Click here to view the meeting schedule.

We want your learning experience about surgical weight loss to be as easy, and as comprehensive, as possible. When you contact us, you will speak with a health care professional who can provide you with more information about these weight loss surgery procedures, the risks and benefits, the recovery period, and expected changes in lifestyle. We will also mail you educational information, which will include the dates and times of our upcoming seminars and support group meetings.

We have designed this website to serve as a resource for you. We invite you to look around and to return often for new information, innovations and technological advances -- and to learn more about whether surgical weight loss may be the solution you’re looking for.

If you have any questions about our hospital, the surgeons, or the treatment options available to you, please contact us through our web form, by email, or by phone at 1-866-931-THIN (8446). We will be happy to give you any information you need.

Once you have reviewed our educational packet and you are ready to move forward with your weight loss journey, please start an electronic health record (free of charge). This will trigger an appointment with a team member.
